The Pattern
Just think about your existence; does it startle you? Pause for a moment and think about if you’re really passionate about what you’re doing. Does it all make sense to you? It strikes you again and again, keeping you away from mining the answer and lose whatever is left of you. Hunting for passion is often not the way to go; you might end up spending years doing that. Passion isn’t a static emotion. The more reasonable notion would be to dive into something and then shape your passion along the way. Dive into it, and find what it is made up of, what it means to you, and how it differs from the perspective of a third entity. Often caught up with the vicious cycle, and the dragging routine, I might not have the time to reflect and ask myself what I actually want. But when I do, I get lost in a stream of fragmented thoughts which synthesize really well but seldom flow or get satisfied. I try to cover them up with pleasing music, a hard work out or spurts of love but they just intensify the next time I come across something that triggers them. This is simply inevitable. I’m trying to find a pattern to all of this. Where it all started from nothing, and as entropy took its way – it organized and re-organized, and shuffled along the way into literature, multimedia, stories and all sorts. This is a small attempt to that flow of design. The explanation that one can expect is rather abstracted – as everything we know really is. One’s actions are the results of the consequences in past and the consequences are the results of one’s actions. We might agree to this conjecture and several others that give us a momentarily reason to believe and abstract away something stressful that occurred. We often play with words, beats and recreation to procreate sense and happiness in our day but often feel the challenges overpower them. We’re challenged every single day – with passion, emotion or without them. It doesn’t matter who we are – by profession or by choice – challenge and hardships are the fundamental ingredients that craft our way of life, and make us strive towards our actions. Challenges make us learn, fail and accomplish something we’re assigned in the first place. Challenge follows an attempt towards a solution. It follows a process that helps us identify what we’re dealing with and what tools would we need to resolve it. This is a streamlined process which we have mastered from the pre-history and has been engraved into our being with all these years of schooling and training. This process might lead us to the rather glorious path of research. We might or might not end up with a definite product or a solution – but we surely gain these experience points. 5 years, 10 years, 15 years of experience into a field can lead us places and it’s all about these numbers which lead to more changing numbers. Is this all a game? Maybe. Maybe not. It’s about your perspective. We’re leveling up with these challenges and we’re getting closer to an ideal world which is always going to get even more modernized than today. And if this startles you, you might not be the only one. You might not think the same exact way as anyone else, but if you’re really figuring out this pattern, this intelligent design, you might be just another player. Keep playing, and limit questioning yourself.
