I hope that every one will be fine and enjoying the best of health.Today we planned to visit the most prestigious and ancient university of Pakistan.

Islamia college is a Public sector University located in Peshawar,khyber pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.The university was established in 1913 some 108 years ago.There are about five hundred faculty members and forty thousand students.

The university was
Founded by the personal initiatives led by Sir S.A Qayyum and Sir George Roose kappel in 1913, it is one of the oldest institutions of higher education, and its historical roots are traced from the culminating point of the Aligarh movement.

The university provide higher learning in Art's, Languages,social sciences, humanities and modern sciences. Islamia college was granted university status by Government of Pakistan in 2008.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah visited this College in 1936, 1945 and 1948. Quaid-e-Azam who became lifelong honorary member of the Khyber Union ICP in 1936 made the College one of the heirs of his property in 1939.

Islamia College emerged as a beacon of scientific knowledge and torchbearer of supreme ethical and religious values. In over a century long journey, the college has become an icon of academic par excellence. Its motto is ‘Rab-i-Zidni Ilma’ (O Lord, enhance me in knowledge)
