The first reaction is usually emotional and oftentimes irrational, he's probably waiting to get his head straight before saying anything. And irc @ned confirmed in yesterday's town hall show that it was due to the HF21 proposal. So we know the why now, what's left to discuss is if it was the right move or not.

I think Mark likes to think about these things awhile rather than react quickly. But, not going to lie, am awaiting his take on these recent events of Steemit too.
