"We have begun to employ them (grid girls) in the last few decades, but we feel it has no great influence on the price of a brand and is not in line with the norms of the modern era," he told the BBC.
"We're not sure it's relevant to F1, either in the past or the present," he added.

Not only F1, but the grid girls are also banned on some other race competitions that use certain circuits. As is known the pretty girls that appear before the race started even seems to have become a tradition. The girls usually umbrella the riders who will start the race. They use sexy outfits with logos and emblems of their team.
One of the Grid Girls, Charlotte Gash, spoke up about this. He admitted very annoyed with the F1 decision.

"It was very disappointing and I am disappointed that F1 made this decision based on a minority for political correctness I am one of the lucky ones, but there are many other girls who make this job the main income," he said.

"I know the Grid Girl is there to look beautiful, but my role is also to interact with the audience, as if we are advertising for sponsors, we are happy to do that and do not want it to be taken."
