Anyone that knows me well, know I love Facebook and it's power to connect people from all over.

However, technology is constantly evolving and soon Facebook will have to mover over as there are the new kids on the block like Steemit.

Beleive it or not, I personally believe that will soon begin lose its appeal gradually as more and more people become aware of the powerful and profitable features of social media blockchain platforms like Steemit

Why
Steemit is designed to give power back to the people for the content that they create.

We are the ones making facebook billions. Facebook leverages our posts, likea, data to attract the multibillon dollar advertising revenues. All these income is shared among facebook big wigs and we gothing.

Now steemit will pay you for posting useful content . The community decides how much you get by the number of upvotes that you receive on each post. The upvote feature in the steemit ecosystem is similar to "likes" on Facebook.

Does facebook pay you for likes you get on your post? Never but Steemit platform will reward you for useful, informative posts based on number of upvotes ( thumbs up or "likes" that you receive.

The secret is to provide posts that shows how to solve a specific problem that people face.

How is Steemit able to afford to pay everyone?
Steemit creates its own cryptocurrency known as Steem and this is what powers the ecosystem and keeps its growing.
Steem has a dollar value as it is now subject to speculation just like other Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, Ethereum and peopole desire to acquire it as a long term store of value.
There are tons of other materials on here and on YouTube that explains in more detail how Steem works.

In conclusion, if you want to get paid for your blog posts and time you spend on social media then pay more attention to Steemit. We are early adpoters of a new social platform revolution.
