There is a 'Facebook' for animals that wants to protect endangered species #GURUJI LUCKNOW WALE
Before the massacre of the world through social media was taken around the world, it was difficult to find out where your friend, enemy or frenzy were. With the rise in the popularity of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram's choice, keeping track of humans has become very easy. But what about other species? It does not go for a week when we do not come across a title about some species on the verge of extinction. Well, Wilde is a solution to a non-profit group and it's Animal Edition of Facebook. Not at all but on similar lines. Wildbook is called, it is a website that will help researchers and conservationists monitor various types of endangered animals. According to the CNET report, the basic idea of Wildbook is to crowd the photo - wildlife enthusiasts and professionals clicked around the world - and use them to keep track of endangered species.
How Wildbook Does It Want?
According to the Senate, the key lies in the use of open-source software and artificial intelligence. Wildbook through various media including YouTube and Flickr - gets data on animals that have been uploaded by people. Once uploaded images or content, the Wildbook is able to find the same animal in different images. It helps researchers and protectors to gather accurate data about that particular species. According to the winebook, according to the Senate, researchers can obtain relatively accurate data about animals, including eating habits, more information about their residence among others. While uploading photos of animals, users can also include extra data like animal sex, estimated age, location, other animals nearby.
But how is it like Facebook? As every user gets a profile on Facebook, every animal gets their profile on the woodbook and all the relevant information is mentioned and easily accessible. Through profiles, researchers can call and see if a particular animal is actually facing extinction or how their population is slowly falling or not.
