Facebook will no longer allow it's ad platform to be used to promote "cryptocurrency"

"We want people to continue to discover and learn about new products and services through Facebook ads without fear of scams or deception. That said, there are many companies who are advertising binary options, ICOs and cryptocurrencies that are not currently operating in good faith."

We can all agree that Facebook has become a cesspool of scammers and fake accounts all looking for their next victim. Is facebook really cutting its profits to protect its honey hole of data mining? Or is facebook just positioning itself to release its own ICO

Could a Facebook ICO be in the works for 2018? LIKE coin?

Whatever happens in technology the goal is to remain relevant, and novel. With sites like Steemit 😎, and others already rewarding users for content, will facebook follow suit or be left behind like a dinosaur?

Maybe this policy is part of an effort to make it harder for scammers to profit from a presence on Facebook.
Either way, its a win win!

@captboatface
Interesting story+well written, I am pretty sure FB is going to try and figure out someway to use crypto to further entangle their users to their platform. Or maybe not? Anyway I think many FB users are tired, and they will look for alternatives.

Facebook has become a pit of anger, arguments, scams, and general bottom tier content.

Thanks, you too!

Looks like facebook is slightly intimidated... And rightly so!
Wiki leaks fella "Julian" hands out information on big corporations for free and becomes a wanted man!
Suckerburg collects all our info and passes it onto those corporations and becomes a billionaire.... How does that seem fair?

You are right. Remember if something is free chances you are the product for sale.

Unless you are on steemit.... then again nothing is free here, even your initial account is on loan and if you mess it up you are done.
