The termites, hold their king and queen prisoner. In most termite colonies, there are three classes of insects. The worker class has the most individuals I'm a colony. These termites do all the work. The soldier termites have only one job to protect the colony from attack. These soldiers are otherwise completely helpless and most be fed and cleaned by the workers. The third is the royal class. The perfectly developed male and female who become the king and queen of the colony. And are imprisoned.

Confetti did not begin as bits of colored paper at all. Hundreds of years ago, the celebration of carnival days in Italy have merry maker's an excuse for boisterous revelry. Included in these celebrations was the custom of flinging coins and pieces of candy at each other. This type of candy is called confetti in Italian. At one point in history a store keeper decided that he could make more of a profit by selling imitation candies cut out of colored cardboard. His idea became a huge success. Down through the years the candy shapes cardboard became the small square bits of colored paper we use today.
