How to Overcome Failures?

in #failures7 years ago

As much as we strive to be successful, failure is inevitable. We're all humans and we're bound to make mistakes. Life is not perfect and we have to make peace with the fact that things wouldn't always go as planned despite all of your efforts.

But it doesn't mean that you lack on something or you haven't done enough. Whether you give your best or not, misfortunes can happen. It's a force that you can't avoid. Giving your best shot is not a sure ticket to success. We can really fail in more ways than one. But it didn't come to discourage you and make you give up on your dreams.

Failing on something is a hard experience, indeed. It will make you feel bad on a lot of things and even on yourself. It can make you question your capabilities and will make you think that maybe you're not good enough and maybe you were not tailored to be the person you've always dreamed to be.

The thing is, you can't allow your failures destroy everything in you. You can't allow it to take over your life no matter how hard it is to deal with. Take it positively and think of it as a way to make you stronger and even better on your craft. When you receive a criticism or a rejection, it's okay to feel sad and maybe cry over it for a night. But eventually, you have to pick yourself up and prove to them that you can do it. You're meant to achieve bigger things and you're unstoppable in terms of chasing your dreams. Take their criticisms into consideration because it will help you and motivate you to prove them wrong.

Take a deep breath and regain the confidence that was shattered when you received a big rejection. It's painful, yes. But you have to accept the fact that we live in a harsh and cruel world. Rejections can make you tougher in dealing with the hardships of life. Everything happens for a reason. Focus on the positive things. Others may not believe in you, but you have your family and friends. They're your number one fans. They've believed in you since day one and will always be there for you through thick and thin. You don't actually need a million of people to admire your capabilities. You just need a few people who believes in you and accepts you even when you mess up because they know you will get up to show them better results.

Every successful individual has failed a lot of times before they reached the peak of their career. Failures will make you humble, it will make you learn more things and will allow you to make yourself better than you already are. Always believe in yourself. You are a rare gem and nothing should make you shine less. You are good enough and failures should not weaken your defenses. You can't let it hold you back from fighting for your dreams and aspirations. Failure is a part of success. It's a package deal that you have to face in order to succeed.

What's the most painful rejection you've received?

Have you failed and felt discouraged before?

How did you pick yourself up?

What's the best advice you can give to people who failed and feels like they're not good enough?

failure is the engine to genius, nice post jas ;)

I couldn't agree more with all the things you've said.

Whether you give your best or not, misfortunes can happen.

We have to accept that failures will always be a part of our lives even you did all your best. But without it, we can't grow and we can't savor our victories.

Let me share my thoughts and answer based on my Steemit experiences:

What's the most painful rejection you've received?

I guess the most painful rejection for me was the thought of not being appreciated when I first joined in Steemit. I feel rejected by the platform because I based it on the number of votes I got when I tried posting few blogs and no one notices a newbie like me.

Have you failed and felt discouraged before?

Of course! I mean who would've not? As I mentioned above, I've looked into the output of my blogs and felt discouraged for having zero payouts. And then I've decided to took a break from this platform.

How did you pick yourself up?

I became an optimistic. I realized that I should change my perspective into positive things. I realized that the change should start with me.

What's the best advice you can give to people who failed and feels like they're not good enough?

Hey You! You are good enough! You are more than what you imagine. Always believe in yourself even if no one else does. You are doing a good job! If you failed once, twice or ten times, stand up for 100 times! :)

Thank you @jassennessaj

i agree to all of your post.failure is part of life and it is a tool you have for you to succeed.

Yeah... Failure and misfortune is inevitable...but we should move on... We shouldn't get overcomed by our past mistake... Cause we can never changed the past... We should face the present to secure a better future...failure is never the end... He just a good opportunity for one to do better and try again...
Nice write @jassennessaj

The most painful rejection I’ve recieved perhaps may be when I interviewed for a job in Cebu that required proficiency in english. The test needed so much accuracy of pronunciation which I failed to satisfy. Nearly my whole life I’ve been speaking english and I’ve also taught english as one of the best teachers in an institution. So that failure to pass the interview test was quite painful and made me feel ungifted. I went back after 6 months but same result. This post is so relative and encouraging, thanks @jassenessaj

I too have difficulty in speaking English. I always get a feedback of having a native accent. I kept pursuing and practicing.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts
