Just Faith

Recently, I talked to an acquaintance whom I met couple years ago. I forgot her face , but then I recalled our past conversation and started catching up

I used to ask like how do you like your job when I met people as a start. It's like a normative question, but I didn't expect to get any personal answer.

But this time, her face lighten up, and said, ' I actually will leave my present job soon, and get married and move to other country."

I didn't expect her answer will be that way, actually, since I didn't even know she is single all this time. She is in her late 50's, pretty and very accomplished in her field.

' Oh, how happy I am for your great news..truly happy for you. It must be exciting and scary at the same time, knowing you've been in this job for almost 25 years already.' I respond her..

'Well, yeah I want to take a new leap. I met my husband recently, just last two years during covid. He lives in other country, when I visited that country. ..and I have my own property here, not sure I can handle cold weather there..maybe I will spend some time here during winter...and so on.' she continued on.

That conversation stuck in my head afterwards..

I always admired all the women who are in their career for a long period of time, a well accomplished one and yet decided to take a leap their faith like this...there is no warranty and guarantee it works well there, just faith..that everything will be okay..

I think It's easier to take a leap when you have nothing, but when you have everything.. that's very brave..😅

Congratulations! 🎉
