An update on what is happening in my life

November hit

And life got busy for me. I continued on with Reading with Grams but I didn't have time to write a post to post on here. As when November hits my photo studio gets busy with Christmas Mini's and Santa Claus sessions.

Thanksgiving came

And my life changed. One of my brothers didn't know he was sick, came home for Thanksgiving and gave our parents Covid. Our dad already had Parkinson's Disease and was in stage 3. Getting Covid sent him into Stage 4 and once you are in stage 4 you kind of stop eating. And it wasn't long after he recovered from Covid, that the Parkinson's killed my dad. December 10th he was sent back home into hospice care. That day my dog of 13 years died. On the 13th my cat that I have had for 10 years died. Then on the 21st anniversary of my husband losing his mother, my father died. I am totally devastated. I am daddy's baby girl, I am not only the youngest in my family but the youngest grandchild. When you think of daddy's little girl that is me. My life will never be the same.

My parents were married for 44 years

Both my parents had children before they met each other. Between the two they have 7 children. But I am my parents only child together. I been trying to be there for my mom, as I know she is lonely and misses my dad even more than I do and I miss him very much.

This is the only photo of me with my parents

I insisted a few years ago that they both take a photo with me. Going through all the family photos throughout the years I am so glad I did as I found this is the only one I have with just us in it. I will cherish this photo forever.

My dad was one of 13 kids

He had 8 brothers and 4 sisters. In recent years he was the last boys of his siblings. He has two sisters that have also passed away and 2 sisters that are still living. This photo isn't even a 16th of our family. Only about 1/16th of them show up any given year to the family reunions but my dad loves going every year.

I bet they are one of the only few people ever to marry in a factory

Fun fact, I am the only one of my siblings at my parents wedding and I also went on the honeymoon as I was in my momma's belly and would make an appearance shortly after the Blizzard of 78. I was close to my dad and am close to my mom too. Wish I was closer to my siblings than I am, but you can't have it all in life. But I love them all very much, even when we fight I still love them.

I am gonna try my best to get back into things

But I am not promising anything as I have been in a funk. My dad was a great man. And losing him feels like I have lost a part of myself. I will miss him greatly.
