WHY THE CPS? WHY NOT SOMETHING ELSE BETTER?

Good day my fellow steemians, i was going through the posts @familyprotection and so many disturbing stories of the harm child protective service (CPS) have caused. Moreover even without the stories on the posts I have seen most broken homes caused by CPS, It scatters a home rather than finding a means to correct few or no flaws.

An Arizona couple have finally won the right to sue child services employees a decade after they lost custody of their three children because of some innocent bathtime photos.

Just imagine, the children in a family was taken away just because of a simple reason of some innocent bathtime photos

Just imagine the traumatized parent, I guess they wont be thinking anything rather than the where about of thier children. Thinking of this... this is an absurd case.


i read a post in @rvgenaille blogs about his experience as a First Nation Support Worker
in a school. i quote;

In addition, based on kids I worked with who came into my schools as a foster child, there was the need to start over from the beginning as anything that was done to support the child in the past, at whatever school they were in, was now shattered as they were often, literally, ripped away from their lives and thrown into a new one that they were unprepared for.

It is a difficult siutuation for a child to be move from one type of life to another especially from bad to worst. it truamatize both the parent and child. Hence most CPS worker do not understand their jobs and should get proper training if possible an academy for them.

In June 2017 The state of Missouri was sued for over-exposing foster children to psychotropic drugs.

Generally the over-exposing or rather the over use of any sort of drug is termed drug abuse, It can therefore be deduced that the over-exposing of psychotropic drugs to foster children just to inhibit there general steady conciousness is a form of drug abuse. Other forms of physical treatment rather than psychotropic drug can be used, so that these effects of the drug should be reduced to minimal.

Reading most posts in #familyprotection is quite horrific in that;

One would not know the value of family happiness if one does not have a taste of it.

SUGGESTION ON SUBSTITUTE OF CPS

There are many alternative to CPS, especially the one that does not involve taking the children or child from their family. it is highly essential for the Government or rather a body in the Government to seek a better solution rather than the CPS. Come to think of it, is there anything wrong with a simple child caring education, There should be an organisation that corrects rather than divide a home, There should be an organisstion that educates rather than divide a home, There should be an organisation that understands a simple family situation rather than that which seems to be a ripper of homes. With this a defined body should be set up that looks into situation of CPS taking actions on family Because;

The Home is a Precious Place.



Another suggestion is that, an organisation should be set up to look into cases of CPS taking children away from thier home because of poor family background or something related to that. more than 40% of CPS cases are based on the fact that "Parents do not have the capacity to take of their children". Is there anytin wrong in assisting the parents?. With this i say a body should be set out to look into cases like this because the very first form of education begins at home and most foster children lacks this education.

Lets come to think of it, what is the qualifications of the CPS agent?, What are their aim?,What are psychological behavioural status?. All these are simple question which we ask ourselves based on the qualification of an CPS agent. The simpliest form of correction on the CPS organisation is to set up a body of orgainsation that regulates the action of CPS, or simply have a code of conduct or rather have a degree of operation which does not involve taking children from their families.
