RE: Confused on how this is for the best???

I am sorry you are going through this. You are in my old stomping grounds from a lifetime ago when I was a kid. This is probably hopeless as this man could be dead for all I know. I tried to google him to no avail, and may be spelling his name wrong too.

There was a kind man who was a counselor at this clinic:

His name is John Cranfield (I believe the spelling is correct on the last name, but we are going back more than 30 years). He really cares, and before he was a counselor he worked for the juvenile probation department. He had much experience in juvenile court, and became an advocate for me. To show how much he cared, a few years after a story I am not prepared to share, I reappeared there at that clinic fresh from hiking across the country. He saw how disheveled I was from months on the road and gave me 50.00. I never spoke or heard from him again.

I doubt he works there still, but it is possible. If not, more likely that someone there may have kept in contact with him. If he is there, tell him Jason referred you, and that when we first met he gave me the book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"

If you can reach him, with his credentials both in counseling (the clinic was run by Dr. Davis who I know has to be dead now) and the juvenile court system, he may be able to put you in contact with someone who can help, or maybe at least some advice. The man had a heart of gold, and I will always be grateful for his kindness. I hope you can find him and he can help you as he did (as much as I allowed him) me.
