It was the years when whiskey passion was not a popular hobby, but whiskey's large river flowed heavily. Jim McEwan, the chief clerk of the Bowmore distillery, who is not a "celebrity" as well as a limited environment, as he is today, said, "Those who enjoy whiskey with pleasure, should remember the people who make them occasionally ..." In the timbre of his voice, there was almost the astringency of being behind the curtain.
