Livestock Auction

Hello Steemians
We hope all is well for you and yours.

The livestock auction we went to this weekend was a lot of fun. We loved learning the process and a little auction lingo.

The animals were absolutely amazing. This buck had a beautiful set of horns. He was also very sweet and gentle.

Some of the animals sold for ten to fifteen dollars. And some animals sold for hundreds. So when sheep came up for two dollars I thought it was for the animal but that was the price of the animal per pound. So in my ignorance I bid and bought the sheep. We took them home and washed, brushed, trimmed them and their hooves and fed them well.
We took them to the farmers market the next day. 860094DE-505D-4CD4-842E-CD8E526661CF.jpeg
My son Teddy really enjoyed the sheep and our goats. He was thrilled when our friends wanted the rams. They wanted them to help clear brush on their property. And they threw in a baby goat to sweeten the deal. It blessed me to see my son having such a good time with animals, strangers and friends.

Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.

Have a wonderful day.
