Hey everyone, just wanted to share this quick video about bending these hoops for season extension and overwintering crops in a wintry climate, zone 5b to be precise. Been very satisfied with this setup, both for pulling things through the winter and also getting a head start on the season. Enjoy!
Here's a thought I had a couple nights ago while looking at some crypto charts - OMG, appropriately enough. They kind of seem like the EKG readout of the heart of the universe, or, at least whatever ventricle we exist in. And as a heart is magical and mysterious, so is our collective experience, and the numbers derived from the actions and attitudes don't diminish either one. They tend to put the finger on the pulse of people and their pockets. Every day is an election year, and we vote with all of our movements, even when they neutralize each other or don't find traction. The ripple scurries relentlessly towards infinity. The chain gets another link, eventually becoming so large as to become a tool of passage, not an instrument of containment. We are all in this together.

I love that! I might search for these materials in stores around here. Would be cool to have rows of salad and other greens during the winter. I'm already making a small solar passive greenhouse as a nursery, but this one seems ideal for greens! What do you think?
It's great for greens that you want to carry thru the winter. It can be hard to access it IN the winter if you are wanting to harvest. I found great success in onions using it. We planted late fall, covered it for the winter, and then had vigorous early onions once the weather broke and had sizable onions well before anything that went into the ground in the spring. We just had a 26' x 84' greenhouse kit arrive today though! So, that will be our spot for greens and other crops that we actually want to be able to harvest during the winter!
