Me version 2.0

in #fashion7 years ago

Hi steemians!

I would just like to share with you what I did yesterday. I decided to have my hair done as a treat to myself especially that it was my birthday last friday the 19th.

This was the style that I had in mind for a change.

My co worker already had her hair done and was the one who recommended the salon to me.
So she messaged the hair stylist that I was coming over to have mine done. I was advised to go early so that she couldn't handle someone else. So, I dragged my husband to the salon with me. It's also in time with Cebu's Sinulog Festival so the streets were crowded.

My husband and I arrived at the salon at 10am yesterday. I was immediately ushered and given recommendations and expectations as to what the process will be just to acheive the look that I wanted. Good thing it was just after payday so I had the budget. 😉

So, here are the pictures on how it was done.

My hair is just being prepared for the bleaching process because I have dark hair like most Asians do.

Next is the application of bleach. There's tons of foil on my hair to help the bleaching process quicker. (I think.. )

I never thought that it would take so long to bleach the hair. The stylist wanted to see almost white hair so the color will really show once it's applied.

Here he took the foils out so she can closely monitor my hair.

This is already after 7 hours of bleaching. My husband was already done with his massage and pedicure and my hair was not even colored yet. He said that if he had known it would take that long for me to finish, he would have gone home and would just fetch me one done. But it was too late for him to go home so he just waited for me till my hair is done. (So sweet! even though I know that he was really bored waiting for me).

After waiting for so long, we really couldn't acheive the almost white result for the bleaching process. My hair stylist asked if we could just switch the color to blue and ditch the gray-silver hair. Blue is my favorite color so I immediately said yes since I'm already tired of waiting. (I can't imagine how tired my husband felt waiting for me.)

The color is applied now to my hair. After a few minutes it was washed off and the hair treatment came after.

After 8 hours of waiting, here's the end result of my hair!

I so love my new hair! By the way, the curls are just temporary. I can't have a perm as it would damage my hair even worse. I love how the stylist added a twist to it so that it wouldn't look boring. It has gray, green, and yellow tinge to it.

I hope you like it as much as I do. It's just like a new version of me!

Thank you all for stopping by. Till next time!
