ABOUT THE EVENT

Port Harcourt Fashion Expo 2018 is the first edition of Role Models annual Port Harcourt fashion show. The first edition is in collaboration with the Rivers State University Student Union Government. The target audience of this event ranges from Political class, Business class; down to the student community. This event would incorporate a trade fair where fashion products would be sold at a very subsidized rate. There would be models on the runway to show case the designs of the various fashion designers. The expected participation in this event would be at least 500 spectators, 30 models, 15 fashion designers and 50 exhibitors.

Date: June 1, 2018

Venue: Rivers state university Convocation Arena, NkpoluOrowurokwu, Port Harcourt.

Red carpet: 2PM

Main event: 3PM

PURPOSE OF EVENT

Port Harcourt fashion expo 2018 started as a result of the need to create adequate awareness and to showcase Rivers and African fashion which we believe have suffered negligence for too long. The event will be used as a medium to encourage young ones to get into the fashion industry rather than sit idle waiting for white collar jobs which may never come; this would in effect help in reducing the rate of unemployment in our society.

This event will be aired on various TV stations including SilverBirdTv and Wazobia Max TV and will also serve as a medium for both elite and upcoming fashion designers to show case their products, thereby promoting their art, the fashion community and indeed the entertainment industry in Rivers state. For the upcoming fashion designers, the opportunity to showcase on the same platform as the Elite would be a great way to promote their brand and boost their sales.
