Fear exists. It is capable of messing with our head and rendering the most brilliant of minds incapable. Fear has the potential of messing with the present, robbing us of our joy, and having a huge influence on our future too. As real as fear tries to present itself, it is not real, in the sense that, it is only as powerful as we allow it to be.

I have to admit I have been scared many times. I have been so fearful many times and I noticed when I declared a positive word over that situation, that fear disappeared. Fear is only as powerful and potent as we allow it to be.

I know you are scared, I know you are worried, I know you have things messing with your head and you are uncertain about what the future holds, I am telling you this, fear is only as powerful as you allow it. Take back your peace and declare positive words. It is not easy I admit. In fact, it is sometimes difficult because it has a way of incapacitating us, but the good things about fear are that it is just in our head. It all plays out in our head and that is where the battle needs to be won also; our head, our mind.

Our words shape our world and when we declare a positive word, even amidst contrary situations, soon and over time, our subconscious and our mind start believing that reality. Once we start believing that reality of fear dissipates. It fades away. I know it is not easy especially when we have been so deep into that circumstance, but fight your way through and don’t empower it, push it out instead.

One interesting thing I have recently learned about Mohammed Ali is, he strikes fear first into his opponent’s mind. He tried to win the bout even before it began. The words he spoke before a fight, the self-appraisal he did, the jumping up and down he did, bursting with so much energy and hitting himself, were all tactics to strike fear into his opponent’s mind.

Once you have lost the battle of the mind, you have lost already. Once fear sets in, morale would be low, the spirit would be down, the energy would drain and negative thoughts would creep in, which will make the person lose his or her sense of worth, and it spirals into other aspects of our lives.

Fear is a perfect path to failure.

Fear only exists in the mind and the battleground is our mind. We can live with losing the good fight, but we cannot live with not fighting it. We need to attack fear from where it messes with us; our mind. Like I said, it is not going to be an easy fight, but it is the fight we need to really fight. Our life depends on it.

I remember when I used to fear to discuss with people. I do feel I wasn’t good enough. I lost my confidence and I just caved in. I avoided people or anything that would make me engage with people. Fear is only as powerful as we allow it.

What is your fear? Let’s tackle it together. Remember, we are all learning together.

A lot of fear turns into a serious phobia that can affect a person's physical and mental health. In such cases, it is best to seek medical help to eliminate fear. On this occasion we will discuss some tips and easy ways to eliminate fear and anxiety.

How to Eliminate Fear Get rid of stress Worrying and anxiety stem from stress and the more we worry, the greater the amount of cortisol in the body. The hormone cortisol often causes sleep deprivation, lack of appetite or, conversely, overeating, accompanied by a number of other problems. To relieve stress, try practicing meditation. Meditation helps you live in the present moment and keeps the mind calm and focused. Sure, you will not see results right away and you need to meditate every day.

Face your fears As long as you continue to procrastinate, you will not be able to eliminate the fear of your mind and heart. So the first thing to do to get rid of fear is to deal with it. Often, our own minds enlarge a frightening situation beyond its proportions. Facing fear can help you see that the situation is not as bad as you think. So, exposing yourself to fear gradually and a safe way can help you overcome anxiety effectively.

Know Yourself An easy way to stop living in fear
something or someone is to know what triggers the anxiety. Keep a journal or diary and record what happens when you feel fear or how you feel at that moment. Furthermore, you can set small goals that can be achieved to overcome anxiety. Bring some stuff or take someone while doing it. It can help you reduce fear or anxiety and can also effectively help overcome the underlying thinking that lies behind your anxiety.

Exercising daily If stress takes over your life, you should exercise every day to overcome your fears. Exercise can increase concentration and distract the mind from anxiety for some time. Exercise also releases endorphins, a hormone that gives rise to feelings of comfort, which improve sleep and appetite. (Also Read 10 Benefits of Exercising In Removing Stress)

Relax Learning relaxation techniques like meditation are the best way to get rid of the fear of the mind. Relaxation is also good for the body. Just sit in a quiet place and take a few deep breaths. You can also try Yoga or Tai Chi which is a body exercise for relaxation. Listening to music, painting or doing hobbies you love can also help you relax and overcome the fear of failure, rejection, etc.

Eat healthy Eat lots of fruits and vegetables because they contain the antioxidants and vitamins your body needs to fight stress, overcome anxiety and create an exciting mood. Compared to snacking on unhealthy foods or junk food, choose fruits and vegetables. This can help you maintain blood sugar that is often associated with moodiness, anxiety. Eat 4-6 small meals and make sure they are rich in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, good carbohydrates and lean protein.

Do not switch to alcohol or nicotine Both of these substances may give you temporary relief from anxiety, but not a long-term solution to overcoming fear. Alcohol really weakens your defenses that can harm yourself. The side effects of alcohol and smoking can even increase anxiety.

Having faith and spirituality is a powerful tool that can help eliminate the fear of the subconscious. If you love God, you gain an inner strength that enables you to face your anxiety. Visit a place of worship or join a community group that meets weekly and religious / spiritual discussions.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!. You took us on a real journey here and I love it. I learned from this, no doubt.

This is really detailed. We should face it and we will see it is not as bad as we think it is, just as you have rightly said here:

Often, our own minds enlarge a frightening situation beyond its proportions.

Thank you for this detailed explanation. You didn't only explain, you gave us steps to take to overcome it. Thank you so much.

Fear is a human emotion that is triggered by a perceived threat. It is a basic survival mechanism that signals our bodies to respond to danger with a fight or flight response. As such, it is an essential part of keeping us safe.

However, when people live in constant fear, whether from physical dangers in their environment or threats they perceive, they can become incapacitated.

Most people are deathly afraid of snakes, spiders, heights, or clowns, I am deathly afraid of letting people down. My mom has always called me a people pleaser and I would say that perfectly defines me. I never want someone to be disappointed in me and I hate when I know I’ve let someone else down. Our fears, no matter what they are, dictate how we live our lives each and everyday, even if we don’t realize it. Letting people down is a strange fear. I have never met someone that has admitted that’s what they are afraid of. My fear simply means that I care what others think of me. It means that I will put someone else’s needs and wants in front of my own. It means that I find it hard to say no to helping someone when I’m struggling to help myself. Every person that I meet, every activity I’m involved in, and every class I am taking I can not disappoint my friends, family members, teachers, coaches, or fellow students. I know how it feels when someone let’s me down and that’s why I can’t do that to others.

What if I’m not good enough? What if I fail? How would they look at me differently? These are a few of the constant questions that run through my mind. It affects how I interact with others or how I act. If I’m really my full self, will anyone still like me? My fear may seem irrational to others, but isn’t that the funny thing about our fears? What I’m afraid of could mean nothing to you, while your greatest fear could mean nothing to me.

If I’m afraid of rejection, afraid of letting someone down, and afraid of not being good enough. That means I don’t branch out often. I put others before myself, which isn’t always a bad thing, but you need to help yourself every now and then. I try and be who others want me to be versus actually being myself. Maybe it’s bad confidence, maybe it’s just that I like to make others happy, or simply know what it feels like to be let down.

Regardless of my fear, I know what I’m afraid of. I know that I have probably let others down and I will let others down. I know I will never be perfect because people are naturally imperfect. Our fears can define who we are and how we live our lives, it’s not until we realize what those fears are that we can step forward courageously and with confidence to overcome what terrifies us the most. I will not let my fears affect my life anymore. I can’t please everyone but I can be happy with who I am.

@communitycoin @Olawalium

I perfectly love the way you ended it, so there is nothing more to add for long.

You have an amazing heart and it is perfectly fine that you care so much about people. I am glad you said you admitted that you can't please everyone.

When we try to please people all the time, we rob ourselves of who we are because their expectations will always determine how we love our lives. We should control the situations and not have it control us. I really love your explanations of this.

You are as real and practical as I always want people to be. No one should condemn you for being who you are and we are all striving towards perfection.

Thank you so much for this, I totally love it.

Our fears, no matter what they are, dictate how we live our lives each and everyday, even if we don’t realize it.

That is absolutely right. We should not constantly live in fear, as much as fear can be used to keep ourself in check sometimes.

Let me start by commending you on this inspirational and motivational piece of your everyday. I always find one ot two to learn from it.

As real as fear tries to present itself, it is not real, in the sense that, it is only as powerful as we allow it to be.

I don't think fear does exist . The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts and anticipation for the future that has not yet come, It is as a result of our imagination, perception and state of mind causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist till Jesus come. So is relativity to individuals perception of life most especially not losing anything good in life or close relationship dinner than expected though the danger is very real due to Situation of things around us most especially accident, I believe fear is just choice that has eaten deep our heart due to a lot of things we tend to achieve that haven't come to pass.

I have been so fearful many times and I noticed when I declared a positive word over that situation, that fear disappeared.

I have been your position many time not until I realized that I have to get over my fear with relative positive attitude and always stay focused that thing actually changed for better in my life, we have to get over our fear with positive attitude, I believe the journey of success begins with the conquering of our fears, we must attack our fears as they are not real, you cannot let your fears stop us from living our dream in life, whatever you are afraid of just do away with it and exhibit positive attitude always, don’t just sit around thinking what is going to happen, action, they say is better of than even it voice, take action today and get over your fear which doesn't even exist. It will surely remove fear, no doubt about that.

we have to breakaway from the people who are living their fears and often with negative attitude, rather then living their dreams. Who’s life are you living, is this the life you planned for yourself, or this what you just fell into because of your circumstances.
This is the right moment to do something positive to get over the Deathly fear which seems to have eaten deep the heart of the masses, well now the time has come to awaken to your true greatness and live life to a higher standard by getting over your fear.

Fear only exists in the mind and the battleground is our mind.

You have to remember that we have nothing to lose, fear is just relative, it never once exists anywhere it is as a result of our state of mind that brought about the fear in the first instance,
getting rid of fear, we have to chase our dreams sharely, go after what we want best , do all the things that our mind really desire much, don’t just get by, living an average life. I urge us to start today, we have to take action on different things until we find what we are destined to do, make a list of all the things you want to do and do them, don’t worry if you fail, so what, failure is the stepping stone to success, we have to remember that always.

One thing I believe is that we all have dreams to do the things that we love most to feel alive and fulfilled in every way possible. We’re here to find tasks that give meaning to our existence and make this mundane life livable.

But how many of us actually make those dreams a reality? The trouble is that before even beginning to achieve that dream, many of us have doubts about our ability to do what we love.
The voice in our head often says: “I don’t have the time or the money

So once you have identified the cause of your fear, try to focus on your goals. Every time a thought like “I can’t do this because . . .” comes up, I try to recalibrate yourself, and focus on the small tasks that move you toward your overall goal. To conquer fear of failure, we must set our mind completely on the outcome that we want to create. The more we can focus on our end game, the more we obliterate pessimism from our mind.
Thanks for another episode @olawalium and @communitycoin

You are really great @olawalium brother . Thank you for your contribution.

Fear is an unpleasant feeling of perceived risk or danger, whether it be real or imagined.

Fear also can be described as a feeling of extreme dislike towards certain conditions, objects or situations such as: fear of darkness, fear of ghosts, etc. Fear may underlie some phenomena of behavior modification, although these phenomena can be explained without adducing fear as a factor in them. Furthermore, application of aversive stimuli is also often ineffective in producing change in the behaviour intended to be changed. Fearing objects or contexts can be learned; in animals this is being studied as fear conditioning, which depends on the emotional circuitry of the brain. It is one of the basic emotions and is linked heavily to the amygdala neurons. In fear, one may go through various emotional stages. A good example of this is the cornered rat, which will try to run away until it is finally cornered by its predator, at which point it will become belligerent and fight back until it either escapes or is captured. The same goes with most animals. Humans can become very intimidated by fear; causing them to go along with one's wishes without caring about their own input. They can also become equally violent, and can even become deadly; it can cause an instinctive reaction to rising adrenaline levels rather than a consciously thought-out decision.

I would also like to thank @communitycoin

This is good. My friend, I always appreciate your detailed explanations. This is really good. Thanks a lot my friend. This is self explanatory

And i love your articles.

Fear Is Not Real,

Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me danger is very real but fear is a choice.
we have to always decided You have nothing to lose, chase your dreams, go after what you want, do all the things that you want to do, don’t just get by, living an average life. I urge you to start today, take action, and try different things until you find what you are destined to do, make a list of all the things you want to do and do them, don’t worry if you fail, so what, failure is the stepping stone to success, failure is what makes us stronger and wiser if we learn from it.

The best technique I have found to conquer fear is, right at that moment when you are afraid, move forward, push forward, break that invisible barrier that is holding you back and get to the other side.

Live your life fearlessly, and strive for greatness. I would rather try and fail then to never try at all. Success comes to those who fall, but refuse to give up and keep going until they win. You are destined for something greater then an average life.

I used to be scared of horror movies. Once I heard the acronym Fake Emotion Appearing Real, I figured out that the movie was fake. It’s not like something in the movie can come though the tv. Every other fearful situation was imaginary scenarios that the mind tricked me into thinking that could happen.

Absolutely. I love horror movies hahahaha and it messes with my head sometimes after I am fine watching the movie. Makes my head invent horror. Hahaha.

Every other fearful situation was imaginary scenarios that the mind tricked me into thinking that could happen.

I really love what you said there. Really spot on. Fake Emotions Appearing Real and not actually real. I love that too.

Thank you for this lovely contribution.

There is power in our tongue. What we say is what we get. Fear creates limitations. When we fear, we become incapable of taking risks, of living our lives to the fullest.

Whatever fear you are facing, whether it is a fear of love, of rejection, of heartbreak, of growing up, of being forgotten, or even of the dark, remember that your fear limits you. It prevents you from growing into a stronger, better person.

We should try to understand our fears, it is when we understand them, they no longer have a power over us.

Let go of fear, express it to someone and just release it.

Fear exists only in our minds

Fearcis something that doesn't exist. It is more of an illusion created by negative thoughts.

Like you said, one of the easiest ways to overcome fear are positive affirmations. Positive words have a way of motivating the mind. Speak positive even if you don't believe it at first, keep saying it, don't stop saying it and soon the fears fade away.

Don't let fear tell you what you can't do, because if you don't try, then the outcome cannot be ascertained...

Remember fear exists only in the mind

Thank you so much for this brother. Fear only exist in the mind.

Speak positive even if you don't believe it at first, keep saying it, don't stop saying it and soon the fears fade away.

That is really key I must say. We should always take conscious efforts towards it. The first step is usually the hardest.
