SNAPS, SNACKS, ATTACKS ...#FEATHERED FRIENDS ???
There's nothing like a day at the beach. Most beach goers plan ahead, blanket✔camera✔sunscreen✔snacks✔.
We all love the sound of the ocean waves, the salt air, the sunshine, the joy of a peaceful, relaxing day. The sight of the seabirds can be awesome, we snap away with our cameras at these lovely creatures, get as close as we can to capture their beauty on our phones.
As we sat in our sand chairs and enjoyed the day, people watching was also on the agenda. I mean, doesn't everyone sit in the sun with their shades on and peruse the beach for all those interesting and unusual people who stroll by, wet their wet, look for shells, ride their bikes and plunge into the waves. People are interesting, period. It's fun to watch the young lovebirds hold hands, the families that drag tons of toys, chairs and umbrellas and the older couple, that know enough to bring just the bare essentials.
BUT...most beach goers will almost always bring a few snacks. 🥨🥪🧀🍩🍺
While sitting on Fort Myers beach in southwest Florida a few weeks ago, people watching became an out right, mind blowing, hilarious experience. We watched a small group of ladies set up their 'camp' for a fun filled afternoon, they were prepared with all the essentials, including lots of snacks to nibble on as they relaxed on the warm sand and listened to the ocean waves.
The beautiful birds started to swoop around, snap, snap, snap went the cameras, giggles and laughs, oozz and ahhs.
Then it began, those sweet beautiful birds had spied the snacks and no amount of "get away", " shoo" "GIT" would deter their mission...get those snacks. They would not be denied that bounty, why eat healthy fish if junk food was there for the taking. Those silly little ladies didn't scare them one bit.
It was a feeding frenzy...
One seagull thought the towel that was being whipped at him was some new kind of junk food...😁😎😆
Those ladies were running for their lives.
As we laughed ourselves to tears, I remembered I too had brought some pretzels to snack on, needless to say, I kept them in my beach bag.🙄
A huge thanks to @melinda010100 for hosting this fun event, love those birdies.
Hope you enjoyed the show!!

I will follow as best I can, but I don't have a twitter acct. I have been trying to figure out how I go about switching over to the hive community, I like the decentralization factor. I am a novice at this, an old one at that. But am gaining on it, I hope.
Thanks so much FOR THE INFO.
