Best Onesies Ever: Babies Kill the Patriarchy!
At my final baby shower last weekend, where my neighborhood friends really went all out - I received these three feminist onesies. I love them. I probably would never have bought them myself, but this baby will wear the shit out of them until they won't fit on their body anymore.
Boy or girl? Who knows! Who cares!
It's a baby, people! I'm so over this question, I'm seriously considering not mentioning the sex for a while...Like maybe a week or so...
This baby will be a feminist or feminist ally or whatever or I will go to my grave trying!
Yes, I suppose this is using my baby as a billboard for my personal political agenda, but I figure it's a pretty damned important agenda and we might as well put it all out there, maybe scare off people we wouldn't want to talk to anyway. Or maybe attract them? I guess we'll find out ;-)
And while I'm at it, I'll just say that here in Georgia, we just got our first black woman gubernatorial candidate - Stacey Abrams! I will be helping her as much as I can, as well as several other female candidates, and yes, even a few men, and I can't wait to see the blue wave wash over this red state.

Oh, and good luck in Georgia! She's an exciting candidate! Most of my family lives in SC, and my parents are originally from a little town close to the Georgia line. Maybe it will bleed over into SC. Probably not, though. SC is backwards as hell.
So excited for the baby to wear one on the way home from the hospital!

Thank you! only 3 more weeks! Doesn't seem possible...but then I feel baby parts that truly do seem like they're going to come through my skin soon and it seems more believable :-)
