Well, she was born a day like today 136 years ago, she was a feminist and feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes, and equality means not taking a position in gender. To be a woman writer back in her time was a scandal, I admire her because even though she lived in a society ruled by machism and unjustice she stood up and talked about it in her books, she was very intelligent and she challenged that unfair ideology in a very conciliatory way regardless of all the unjustice that surrounded her.
