Near Death Dewey

One of my ferrets is five years old. He developed adrenal disease last year and was deemed too old for surgery. He had lost most of his fur and his love of playing. He is recieving hormome therapy, his fur has grown back, and for a while play was back too. Hes now playing for less and less time each day. He doesnt get excited anymore, and I can see such tiredness in his eyes. This photo was one of the last photos I took of him while he was playing. I just hope his eyes can look like that a few more times.
