Festival "Night of Museums"

This is an annual project, in which many of our city participate, in order to increase the interest of a wide audience, especially young people, to museums. It takes place annually in mid-May, usually on weekends - on the night from Saturday to Sunday. The night of museums is the only time of the year when many museums around the world are open for visits in the evening and at night.

A bit of history: "Night of Museums" is an international action, the main purpose of which is to show the resource, possibilities, potential of modern museums and other exhibition spaces; popularization of museums and museums.
For the first time it was held in Berlin in 1997, later this initiative was picked up by the French, and then by other countries. Such annual events take place in many European cities. Every year the popularity of this action is growing. Naturally, it is impossible to embrace the vast and visit all the exhibition and cultural venues of the festival, so everyone chooses the most interesting for them.
