The emergency room door opened. A doctor with glasses came out of the room. He approached me who was sitting leaning against a waiting chair.

"You Mr. Nasir, sir?"

"Yes, dock."

"Your daughter loses a lot of blood, we need blood transfusion O."

"Oh yes, doc, my blood type matches my daughter."

"Well, please go in. I hope you put on a sterile outfit first."

"Ok, dok."

I did not expect my child's wounds so badly. I suspect this was the result of an incident with the drunkards. They have taken up a lot of our time. My mind suddenly re-imagine the face of the long-haired man earlier.

I stepped into the emergency room. Changing my clothes and lying beside my daughter. My wife who was holding our son looking from out the room. My wife's face is so sad. While my boys just watched me.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes dok, please."

The doctor injected my arm with an anesthetic. Then he jabbed the needle that was connected to the hose. I see the blood from my body flowing in the hose. The blood then passes through a plastic container and walks through the IV hose fitted to my daughter's body. Unconsciously, tears streamed down my eyelids.

"Forgive your father, son. I didn't notice there is a broken floor at the inn." I murmured.

I'm like falling asleep on a swing. The bulb and the intravenous tube were seen dancing. The face of a man using a mask and glasses, suddenly come in front of my face. "Are you okay?"

"Hmmm .." I replied softly.

The doctor then deftly remove the IV tube. Check my eyes and do blood pressure. "For the time being we stopped the blood transfusion, I think the blood stock is enough." The doctor said.

I got up slowly. My body and my knees are limp. Then the nurse help me to the seat in the other room. "You take a break here, if you feel better, you go to that room, there is a nutritional intake that helps restore your stamina," the nurse said.

"Ok. How's my daughter doing?"

"She's fine, lucky her is not lost much blood."

"Thank you, miss."

I looked around the room. Aside my daughter, a man is undergoing medical treatment to. Some nurses look busy giving a medical supplies to a female doctor. Occasionally they give cotton and scissors.

I tried to find out who the man was. I got up from the chair and looked at the patient's face. "Maybe he's Engku." I mumble.

"I'm sorry sir, you can't come here." Said a nurse who then pulled the curtain.

I sat back in the chair. After making sure my condition is fit, I then go to the room appointed by the nurse. There, a fat woman smiled at me.

"Please eat this meal," the fat woman said, handing me a plate of boiled egg and a glass of milk. He also handed me a glass of green beans placed on a tray. I was stunned to see the menu. "How do I eat this dish?"

The fat woman smiled again when see at my reaction. Her then took me to the next room. "The eggs you can share with your child and your wife there." The woman said while pointing to my wife and son sitting in the next room.

"Thank you Madam." I told the fat woman. She just smiled then went back to the room.

My wife saw me coming to them. She was about to get up, when I signaled to keep her in place. I went to them, and place a tray with a plate of boiled eggs, a glass of milk, and a glass of green beans at the table. My wife then took out a bottle of mineral water and put it on the table.

"Let's have a meal together." I'm invite them.

"It's okay, you eat first, you have to get back to health." Said my wife.

I see my wife's face. Then looked at my son standing on the dining table chair. "Dad, I want the egg." Said my oldest son this.

I smiled. Then peeling egg, my wife helping. "Honey, you eat first, let me feed the egg for our son," my wife said.

"Ok." I bit into an egg. Chewing slowly. My son too. He looks very much enjoying the egg. Maybe he was hungry because his had not yet had breakfast.

I forced my wife to eat together. At first she is refusing. But, she it was not powerless when I'm put an egg into her mouth. She smiled. Then drank a little mineral water.

The clock shows 01:00 PM. I'm went to the waiting room. My wife and son followed after me. In the waiting room, I saw his mother Engku still mourning. She is alone.

"That's Engku mother, Yusuf's friend who lives on the island of Marina. Engku and his wife will were going to visiting us, at Yusuf's request, but he was robbed at the crossroads to the inn."

My wife was surprised. She is concerned about Engku and his wife. I asked my wife to accompany Engku mother. "You must accompany her, ok. I will to going back to the inn because my cell phone is left at there."

"Be careful on the road, don't look for trouble, I'm afraid you'll meet the drunk guys again." My wife is worried. "Avoid if you can, I know your character, don't look for trouble. We're in other country now."

"All right, I know we're in someone else's country, I do not want to get into trouble, I just want to go back to the inn." I assure my wife.

"I want you to promise. I know your nature. We're have been together for a long time. I don't want you ..." I closed my wife's mouth with index finger. I do not want her to panic.

"Shhh .. I try to avoid trouble, not looking for trouble, I'll find another way to the inn, but I can't promise anything if I just met them accidentally."

"Promise me to come back here safely, you see our children? I cannot possibly ..." My wife is crying.[] (to be continue...)

This story is just fiction. The similarity of names, places, institutions and stories is a mere coincidence. This is the first fiction I'm writing and immediately publish it in steemit. I hope the criticism and suggestions related to the storyline and editing of writing in this fiction, to be better in the next section. (Author: Boy Nashruddin/@boynashruddin)
