The hospital room- PART 2 - An original short story by Giantbear

in #fiction7 years ago

Sarah woke up a few hours later. She was no longer in the room where she woke up the first time. She looked down and realized that she was somehow standing on her feet. She was moving forward, but she wasn't walking. She was balancing on some kind of conveyor belt, and it slowly moved around in a circle. She was slightly frightened but also felt weirdly at peace. It was such a weird sensation.

She had no idea where she was and what was going to happen to her. She closed her eyes and held on to the drip so that she wouldn't fall over. Suddenly it felt as if she was lifted and turned into a horizontal position and she had the weird sensation of floating.

She turned her head and realized that she was not wrong. This was no ordinary hospital, and it felt more like she was part of the cast in a science fiction movie, although she couldn't see anyone else around her.

She closed her eyes and tried to make some sense of everything around her. It was just too much too handle and she must have blacked out, because when she woke up again, she was on the bed in that room again. She was able to open her eyes because it was quite dark in the room.

The pain on her left side had subsided, and she took a deep breath. She was able to sit up slightly and look around her. The room was quite dark and she could see a few machines around her but was unable to identify what they were there for.  There were funny yellow and red signs on the wall, but she couldn't read any of it. It was printed in a language that she didn't understand and it was unfamiliar to her.  It was not human-like.

Sarah was utterly confused. She tried to swing her legs to get off the bed, but realized that they were chained to the bed with big yellow clamps.  She felt panicky. What was going to happen to her? Why were they keeping her hostage?

She closed her eyes and tried to think of the last thing she remembered. Her mind was clogged up and she couldn't remember clearly..... The last thing she remembered was that she was on her way home from work and there was this big bright light in the middle of the road....she had no idea what happened after that....

She heard something at the door, and closed her eyes to let them think that she was sleeping. She felt how someone or something pushed her bed out the door and down a long hallway.  Most of the lights in the hallway were switched off, and when she opened her eyes a little bit to see where they were taking her,  she saw a faint light flickering against the walls. She was left in front of a big grey metallic door and whoever pushed her there, left her there for a few minutes before pulling her bed inside. She was left alone in a big bright white room with machines all over the place.  She saw one bed in the middle of the room and suddenly she realized what they were going to do to her.

The light was blinding her and she was terrified. She tried to get up but now her hands were also tied to the bed. She wanted to scream but there was no one to hear her....She watched the sliding door on the opposite side of the room where four creatures walked in straight towards her bed.

This is a very interesting story @giantbear , Actually "sarah" experienced what pain? To be honest, I was deeply touched by this story, If "sarah" is me, maybe I will not be able to live the life as in this story.
