Operation Bird Catcher p3
The stranger smiled to himself as he watched the security chief hit the floor, it had been a close call, and it had taken a surprise attack, and the use of the Iron Hand technique to disable the Andorian.
Two down and four to go, he thought as he entered the flight deck.
Dana watched carefully as the intruder entered the flight deck and walked toward the science computer. He found himself wondering about the person in the ankle length midnight black cloak. As he moved to intercept the intruder, he noticed T'Lish sneak up behind the person and raise her hand, aiming for the junction of his neck. Dana felt like groaning as the intruder ducked his head, turned in place and fired the palm-sized phaser.
After gently lowering the Vulcan to the deck, the intruder stepped up to the computer interface and spoke. "Computer cease intruder alert. Seclar One, authorization code one-one-zero-two."
Upon hearing the calm deep voice, Dana knew without a doubt who the intruder was, it could be none other than the aforementioned social scientist. Then Dana watched in amazement as the computer complied by returning to normal condition. He hadn’t known that the social scientist had that level of access, especially in a ship that wasn’t his own. The man stood still for a minute, rapidly accessing the library, then turned and looked directly at Dana. After the curtest of nods, the man reached up and lowered his hood, revealing a middle-aged face that was framed with jet-black hair.
Before Dana could say anything, Martin busted onto the flight deck, followed closely by a dark haired Soviet and a brown haired oriental.
"We heard the intruder alert and found Martin on the way in." The Russian stated, raising his phaser to point at Jarius.
"What do you want us to do about him?" The Oriental inquired, copying his companion’s lead.
Dana watched as the man raised his hands in surrender. “If you would be so kind as to identify yourself.”
The Intruder drew himself into a semblance of attention, “Commander Jarius Melvin requesting permission to come aboard.”
And that as they say, was that, and it seemed that Jarius had made good on his bet.
