I'm surprised they cared to keep the human alive at all. They've not shown any mercy to them before now....

I always like when you include little bits of science in your stories. Come to think of it, maybe lack of research to establish credibility is what separates bad sci-fi from good... well that and being able to write your way out of a paper bag.
