50 word Story Contest Week #17 / The contemplation
We started out together,
When overtaken with a tether,
While everything at first was pleasure,
Would it stay like that forever?
We broke and went our separate ways,
When I no longer longed your gaze,
Would seem like this was just a phase,
And growth we had would not remain.
