Wakanda Marvel is this?

in #film7 years ago (edited)

This time last week, I'd just finished watching Black Panther...

I was determined not to have anyone spoil the film for me, the only way to do this was to log-off until I watched it; I also vowed not to spoil it after having watched.

Half-term, 11:15, the first showing of the day, the screen isn't packed, though the mixture of families, groups of friends off from school, social clubs, couples and those on their jack jones makes it feel as such.

I have the animated series on DVD, I've been reading the comics over the past two years; 'Black Panther' and the short lived 'Black Panther: World of Wakanda' which delved into the relationship of Ayo and Aneka of the Dora Milaje, I didn't pick up 'Black Panther and The Crew' (which I really wish I did). Now, to just sit back and let the live action wash over me.

The hype over the past 18 months has been so great, that for the first 30 minutes, I don't think I believed I was actually watching it. When I finally accepted that the lights weren't going to go up and a camera crew weren't going to come out, telling me it's all a hoax. I was like

I look back and I think that I was the most tense in those 30 minutes than I had been all year and to be honest, I'll probably be watching it again, with snacks and a drink, maybe even in 3D, just so that I can enjoy it more.

"You didn't buy popcorn or anything, what are you doing with your life really?"

Listen, I only had enough to watch it, this was easier for me to accept (lol) because it was close to breakfast, I would have been forcing the fried maize and frozen flavoured beverage down if I had broke the bank. Don't judge me...

But please join me in judging those who left the screen as soon as the credits started; it's Marvel, you've sat for 100+ minutes an additional 10 minutes will not hurt. Sit down, you're in the way

Being in crypto and enjoying comics conjures up the thought that if Wakanda were to follow Venezuela with its own commodities backed coin, their coin would be a diminutive of/or actually called Vibranium (VBM/VBX/WKA). People living outside of Wakanda can only mine on equipment delivered from the nation, there is a live stream available to see where exactly in the Great Mound your fractions of Vibranium are coming from. Physical coins would exist but for the first 10 years would only be available to Wakandans, only after every Wakandan was in possession of at least five coins, then the physical coin market would open up to everyone else. A hardware wallet is delivered with the mining equipment, it is called Bast. All of this developed by none other than Princess Shuri
