Auditions For Sudsy Slim Rides Again
I'm sure you've heard the saying, "it takes a village". In our case, It took a couple. These vlogs (#1 & #3) should offer some interesting insight into the audition process. I'm not saying this is an example of a Hollywood production. It's more like an "Alaskawood" production. A mix of casual professionalism I suppose? What the vlogs fail to mention is our thought process behind HOW we auditioned. We brought people in and were very welcoming because, ya know, we're human beings. Then we stuck them in front of some lights to simulate that experience they would have to go through on set. We had hundreds of people lined up and waiting to be auditioned. All of them had to sign a release and all of them got a crack at auditioning. Hopefully these videos provide some insight to the inner workings of the process.
This is also a great opportunity to meet the production team. All of these people here play a huge part in the pre production process and many of them will be doing their part all the way through to the screening of the movie and beyond. I would love for this series to be instructional and it is. It's also important to note that it leans heavily toward the funny inner workings of our tight knit crew. Hopefully you can gain some insight from these. If not, try and get to know the people. They can be hilarious, obnoxious, monotone, overbearing and so many other things over the course of this series and I'd say that is what the filmmaking experience is. It's getting to know the people to your right and left and becoming a family.
