One Phone to Rule Them All?

Sirin Labs' Blockchain Phone "Finney" opens for preorders tonight - November 29th - and will begin shipping next month. This mobile crypto swiss army knife has a ton of exciting built in features to secure digital assets, and bridge away from the traditional banking brick and mortar we all know.

Our vision is to bridge the gap between the blockchain economy and the mass market through multi-layered cybersecurity and a much-improved user experience.

It'll cost HODLers $999 per phone. Early purchasers of the phone will have to use the SIRIN Token (SRN) is a utility token used across a family of products within the Sirin Labs ecosystem. (Phone, decentralized app stores, etc.)

I thought crypto were here to empower the people, but this is getting too elitist...

Every product starts out for the elite, but it's because of those wealthy first customers that companies are able to release more affordable products. Just look at the smartphone market in general. At first smartphones were slow and super expensive, but now you can get a good smartphone for less than $200. That wouldn't have been possible without those wealthy people buying the first smartphones.

Built in cold storage?! That's cool. I hope it becomes a reality.

Interesting, but not too many information about it. I wish they would have been more specific in many technical details and specs. Also some intro video would have been helpful.

Whoooo that $999 price point is up there with the iPhone! I’ve been curious about these crypto phone rumors. Definitely going to read more into this one.

Honestly I think this is kinda getting out of hand. If you really want a secure cold storage wallet, then buy a hardware one. buying a $1,000 phone that comes with some one-off bitcoin clone just seems like a waste of money.
