Success! First bitcoin!

Now frustrated with getting BitCoin online, I finally happened upon a very helpful site for buying BitCoin in Hong Kong.

Here I discovered I'd have to actually get up and go to a bank and opted to go try BTCC, so I did. I went to my bank, and made a transfer of another USD$1,000 and even set up a designated account so I can transfer regularly online straight from my bank.

SUCCESS!!! And quite quickly. I saw the money on my BTCC site the next day. So again, I opted to quickly move it to my wallet.

Mistake #2
Holy cow, it has been over 24 hours now and it is STILL NOT on my Binance account! Is this how long transfers take with BitCoin? Apparently yes, it can take ages now for transfers because of the huge traffic and the "slow" process for confirming transactions.

So... I still can't buy any of the things I'm interested in that are quickly changing, e.g. Ripple. I also missed the ICO for Trade.ico that I thought looked very good and totally missed! Now all I can do is wait.

I have learned a lot about wallets, though, and am fairly certain I'll use JAXX for now, since it seems so easy, slick, and powered by ShapeShifter (see, I'm learning), which means all the exchange transactions can happen right there within JAXX (if I'm correct).

I'll use Changelly to transfer coins from my BlockChain wallet because apparently it is super quick. We'll see!

I do NOT want to be stuck waiting days like this, and I am already realizing that my approach should be to buy BTC, convert some of it to Etherium to use to purchase coins and get involved in ICOs, and leave my BTC alone in my wallet. I'll make my wallet approximately reflect current market cap distrubutiion, i.e. BTC is around 40%.

Does this sound like a good strategy?

I'll have USD$2,000. Let's see where it goes from here.

Next: Ready for my first ICOs!
