Niagara River Multi-Species Sunday
Josh Hedden invited me out onto the Niagara last Sunday. Our usual schtick is I target musky while he targets smallmouth bass but due to seasonal restrictions, we decided to target trout that day. My expectations were very low...so that helped.
On the board.
Spawned out!
Josh's lunker laker.
Walter showed up and was released to grease.
Close-ups, because we're beautiful.
A bunch of OOS smallies getting in the way, as they always do on the Niagara.
Every fish that day bit the LIVETARGET Rainbow Smelt (RS115D221) in the new Silver/Orange custom Canadian colour except for the walleye, which bit Gold/Orange (also a new custom Canadian colour). All my fish were landed with a Daiwa Fuego 3000H paired to a Daiwa Tatula XT, spooled with Power Pro Super Slick 30lb braid and Seaguar 15lb fluorocarbon leader.
