Any kind of surgery sucks but it sounds like your rehab is going better than expected! Although getting injured sucks... the body awareness that you gain while you health/ strengthen the areas around the injury are incredibly important to prevent all future injuries.

It sounds like you already picked up on ways to move your body and isolate only one muscle in the leg (that is not an easy thing to do!).

I had shoulder surgery two years back and when it finally healed I was much stronger and had a better understanding of the shoulder functions. You will gain so much knowledge as this healing process continues!
