World Record Holder, Stig Severinsen Holds Breath for 22 MinutessteemCreated with Sketch.

I had no idea human beings were even capable of such things, but Stig Severinsen, a free diver, can hold his breath for 22 minutes. He also swims in water that is just above freezing for 150 meters, in nothing but a speedo. This man is a specimen and is helping the scientific community discover some of the things human beings are capable of.

This guy's will power, perseverance, and ability to fight his natural physiological reflexes in order to do the unthinkable, make him one of the most impressive humans I have ever heard of. Check the video below if you want to see some of his accomplishments:

If you want to learn more about him, here is an article with some Q & A with Mr. Severinsen: https://www.thrillist.com/gear/9-questions-with-the-world-record-breath-holder-stig-severinsen-interview#

I hope you find this to be as interesting as I did! Until next time!
