MAKE YOGURT AT HOME
Yogurt is an essential ingredient in Indian cuisine. I’ve been making yogurt at home for 4 years. Be it raita, lassi, or gravy yogurt is essential in each one of them.
INGREDIENTS
500ml full-fat milk
2 tbsp yogurt plain
STEPS
- In a pan boil milk and keep it aside for 10 min until it is lukewarm. It should not be too hot so check by placing your finger in milk if you keep it for 10 seconds then it is good.
- Take 2 3 tbsp yogurt in a bowl. If the weather is cold warm your bowl a little.
- Add milk and mix well so that the yogurt is mixed in evenly.
- Cover a bowl with lid and leave the pot/bowl undisturbed for the whole night.
- All set yogurt is done. Yogurt stays good for 2 3 days in the fridge.
If you want flavored yogurt add vanilla or fruit extract of your choice in milk.
