Flexible Dieting

in #fitness7 years ago

Did you ever lose weight and than gain it back, after you finish with the diet? Thats called Yo-Yo Effect.
It happend to me quite a few times in the past. After all the research you realize that no extreme is good. If you have to say NO to all the foods you love, it will be a torture for you. But in fitness & healthy lifestyle you should enjoy, right?

So, I found out about Flexible Dieting. That's actually not a diet but more like lifestyle. It means you can eat whatever you want until you hit your macros ( protein, carbohydrates and fats).

My diet ATM consist of:
180 g of Protein
230g-350g of carbohydrates and
80 g of fat
2.440 - 2.840 kCal
I have 198 lbs (90 kg). My BMR together with activity (Harry Benedict's formula) is 3.050 kCal. So, I'm all the time in caloric deficit. I have 1 refeed day per week where I bump up my caloric intake.

The point of Flexibile Dieting is that you can eat foods you like to fullfil your daily calories. I eat 80% of 'clean' food like rice, oats, meet, eggs,... and 20 % of 'junk' food like icecream, pizza, burgers,...
This kind of eating keeps me on track and I don't need to suffer at all. It is my lifestyle and it can be yours too😉

It's kind to your social life also. You can still go out with friends and drink a beer or two, chat over cup of icecream. You get me. Be active, enjoy and in the meantime stay in shape.

I'm terrible though I start to eat healthily for a couple of days then I'll have a bad day and hit the crisps, chocolate and beer! Nice informative post :)
