Question to the steemit community, how did working out help you mentally/socially?

These two aspects are forgotten when talking about working out but in fact, working out can enhance your social interaction and mental state dramatically.

So how has it helped you? Do you regret getting "ripped" for any reason?

Fitness gave me something to feel accomplished in. Made a lot of good friends along the way and learned a lot about myself, life, limitations, and the reality of health. Fitness has only deepened my appreciation for a healthy lifestyle. I would commit to being fit time and time over.
