Good post. As a middle-aged non-athelete it is very easy to understand this idea. It sounds weird, but it is totaly possible to live in a body for decades without ever learning how to use it properly. I'm trying to learn how to do pull-ups and pistol squats and finding that neither one is idiot proof.
That's great that you are learning now! Haha, they are very difficult, especially pistols - I found that using a band behind your back aids in giving you the proper mobility and core stability needed for that move!
