3 Simple and Actionable Tips for a Healthier You

Like you, I am lazy, and would rather loaf in bed with my DS rather than do anything productive. Here are 3 simple and actionable tips to help you stave off the laze for health n' fitness.

One meal a day

When you are in a fasted state, you draw on your fat stores once you run out of muscles glycogen. A lot of people swear by keto, but in the long run, keto is not practical(at least in my experience) and if you don't count calories, you can easily over shoot your calorie goals. Through one meal a day (yes one meal at the end of the day) you allow yourself to run through glycogen stores, and lower muscle insulin resistance.

Go to the gym every day/How to apply a system rather than a goal

And that is it. You are done. More often than not, getting started is the hardest part of exercise. I used to have trouble going to the gym, because I had my whole workout as my goal. Doing this is for chumps. If your goal is just "go to the gym" you are more likely to go. And once you get there the habitual patterns kick in and you can blast through a workout. I have been able to go to the gym everyday for the past 6 months because I've had a system of "go to the gym every day" as opposed to a daily goal of "wreck myself at the gym today". Which of the two seem more actionable to you?

Less carbs/ More Meat and veggies

This one is self explanatory. No bread/ pasta/ramen. Less fruit. Keep carbs to lift days. focus on meat and fats.

TL:DR

Asthetics and health is a process. Apply simple systems to your life and you will find the results come naturally.

A good book on applying systems is Scott Adam's:
