Question Everything

in #flatearth7 years ago

So I've been using my open mind to research the topics of #FlatEarth, #NASA "Faking Space Walks" and the "Fake Moon Landings". While on YouTube, the first couple of days the algorithm on YouTube gave me plenty of "Flat Earth", NASA "Faking Space Walks" and "Fake Moon Landing" video options as recommendations. I thought, "Cool, some more videos to watch". So I watched plenty of them. But then just today, the algorithm started giving me options that were nothing to do with these topics, or that were "debunking" videos of these topics. So that made me wonder, why are YouTube and Google trying so hard to get me to not see videos about "Flat Earth", NASA "Faking Space Walks" and the "Fake Moon Landings"?
I now have to type into the search bars exactly what I want to see, as it won't even "predict" what I'm typing. Strange? Yep, I feel (in my opinion) this only happens when you question the indoctrinating mainstream narrative.
Just thought I'd share this with you all folks.

Also wanting to question everything, I once investigated the flat earth thing. It turned out that a flat earth is utterly impossible. Maybe you should watch some of those debunking videos. "Question everything" includes the flat earth hypothesis.

i had the same experience with google. and the non-autocomplete is very interesting to me as well. i also found it hard to search for red pill movie on google... so I found http://peeker.com .. check it out. seems less bias so far.

you could notice right here on steemit, that the most highly paid out posts in #flatearth are talking trash about it, but none actually talk about the points made by flat earthers. then it has a bunch of circle jerk comments around it.

Congratulations @mikelow, you have decided to take the next big step with your first post! The Steem Network Team wishes you a great time among this awesome community.

If you're 'questioning everything', then you should watch both and make up your mind. That's actually how science does it. They take ALL of the information available on a subject, compile it, form a hypothesis, and then try to DISPROVE that hypothesis!

Unless you try to disprove your hypothesis, you are just confirming bias.
