সিলেটের ভয়াবহ বন্যা।
আমি আজ তোমাদের বলবো সিলেটের ভয়াবহ বন্যার কথা। বাঁধ ভাঙ্গে গিয়ে সিলেটর জোগি গন্জে প্রবল বেগে পানি ঢুকেছে। একের পর এক প্লাবিত হয়েছে বিস্তৃতি এলাকা। সুরমা ও কুশিয়ারা নদীর প্রতিরক্ষা বাঁধ ভেঙ্গে যাওয়াতে এই বন্যার সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।
সিলেট থেকে ৯২ কিলোমিটার দূরে জোগি গন্জ অবস্থিত। ভারতের বরাক নদীর শাখা হচ্ছে সিলেটের সুরমা ও কুশিয়ারা নদী। ভারতের বরাক নদী ও বাংলাদেশর সিলেটে সুরমা ও কুশিয়ারা নদীর বাঁধ ভেঙ্গে যাওয়ায় সিলেটে এই ভয়াবহ বন্যা হয়। ভারতের পানি ছেড়ে দেওয়া কারনে, ভারত থেকে আসা পানিতে বাংলাদেশর। পুরো সিলেটে অঞ্চলের ৮০ শতাংশ পানিতে তলিয়ে গেছে। ভেঙ্গে গেছে ৩ টি ব্রিজ। বন্যার পানিতে রেল ব্রিজ ভেঙে সারা দেশে রেল যোগাযোগ বন্ধ। পুরো সিলেট অঞ্চলে বন্যার কারণে নেই কোনো বিদ্যুৎ। নেই কোনো গ্যাস, নেই কোনো ইন্টারনেট ব্যবস্থা। পুরো সিলেট পানিতে ভাসছে।
চারদিকে বন্যার পানিতে অসহায় মানুষের হাহাকার। অনেক মানুষ পানিবন্দি হয়ে আছে। আইন শৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী এসব পানি বন্দি মানুষদের আশ্রয় কেন্দ্রে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। প্রায় মানুষ পানিতে ভেসে যাচ্ছে । মানুষের সাথে সাথে হচ্ছে গবাদি পশু -পাখির কষ্ট। গরু, ছাগল, মুরগি এগুলো পানিতে ভেসে যাচ্ছে। ঘর- বাড়ি ভেঙে পানিতে ডুবে ভেসে চলে যাচ্ছে। মানুষ গৃহ হারা হচ্ছে। না খেয়ে পানি বন্দি হয়ে জীবন যাপন করছে।
দেশে কোনো দুর্যোগ দূর্ঘটনা ঘটলেই সাধারণ জনগণের কাছে হাত পাততে হয় কেন? জনগণ ট্যাক্স দেয় না? ভ্যাট দেয় না? জনগণের টাকা যায় কোথায়?
ড্রেইনেজ সিস্টেম কই? উচু রাস্তা কই? বাঁধ কই? পরিকল্পনা কই? এসব মেইন্টেনেন্সের লোক কই? দুর্যোগ মোকাবেলায় প্রস্তুতি কি? দুর্যোগ পরবর্তী ব্যবস্থা কই? রিমোট এরিয়ায় সাইক্লোন শেল্টারগুলার বেহাল দশা কেন?
সরকারের জবাবদিহিতা কই? দূর্যোগ ও ত্রাণ মন্ত্রনালয়ের কাজ কি?বাংলাদেশ ডুবছে কেন?
এ ভাবে আর কতদিন চলবে ? সবাই কে দেশের মানুষের কথা ভাবতে হবে, দেশের কথা ভাবতে হবে, আমার পৃথিবীতে শান্তির জন্য কাজ করবো । তাহলে আল্লাহ খুশি হবেন।

Jogi Gonj is located at a distance of 92 km from Sylhet. Surma and Kushiara rivers of Sylhet are branches of Barak River in India. This terrible flood occurred in Sylhet due to the breaking of the dams of Surma and Kushiara rivers in India's Barak River and Sylhet in Bangladesh. Due to India's release of water, water from India belongs to Bangladesh. 80% of the entire area of Sylhet is under water. 3 bridges were broken. The railway bridge was broken by the flood water and the railway communication was stopped all over the country. There is no electricity in the entire Sylhet region due to floods. No gas, no internet. Entire Sylhet is floating in water.
The wailing of the helpless people in the flood water all around. Many people are stuck in water. Law and order forces are taking these water trapped people to the shelter. Almost people are floating in the water. Livestock and birds are suffering along with people. Cows, goats, chickens are floating in the water. Houses are broken and drowned in water. People are losing their homes. They are living without eating and living in water.
Common people, government, other countries also gave help. So that people in flooded areas can eat a little.
When a disaster occurs in the country, why do you have to reach out to the general public? People do not pay taxes? Does not pay VAT? Where does people's money go?
Where is the drainage system? Where is the high road? Where is the dam? Where is the plan? Where are these maintenance people? What is disaster preparedness? Where are the post-disaster arrangements? Why the poor condition of cyclone shelters in remote areas?
Where is the accountability of the government? What is the work of the Ministry of Disaster and Relief ? Why is Bangladesh sinking?
How long will this continue? Everyone should think about the people of the country, think about the country, I will work for peace in my world. Then Allah will be pleased.
