This interest is very intriguing to me and maybe you are also the view, I quote wikipedia you try to read :

Amorphophallus is the name of the plant genus of the taro tribe (Araceae). Flowers and vegetative plants (leaves) grow alternately. The flowers at certain times give off the smell of dead carcass, so commonly named as a carcass flower. Comprising of about 200 species, this bulbous herb spreads in tropical and ugahari regions. Its scientific name comes from its flower-shaped form resembling a broken penis (Gr .: amorphos, broken form; phallos, male genitals).
Tubers and other parts of the plant release an itchy sap. But tubers of some kind can be eaten after being processed in a certain way, or further processed into meal flour pastries and other foods.

Plants of terna or herbs, with tubers underground. The vegetative phase (leaves) grows alternately with the generative phase (flowers and fruit). Some species are small, but others grow up. Bulb bulb flattened or somewhat flattened, some are rather cylindrical lengthwise irregular, to similar carrots. Leaves are usually solitary in adult plants, rarely 2-3, although sometimes 2-3 strands on young ones. Leaf stalk is usually long, smooth, rarely coarse rough, usually with patterns of stripes of various colors and shapes. Leaf blade is more or less circular in its outline, compound, divided into 3 main axes of approximately equal size, each divided again in children of jelly-shaped leaf shape to line shape, with tapered or tailed ends, leaflets the biggest tip

Thanks until next time
