Tapak dara Flower is a flowering plant that is very easy to grow in Indonesia. Often growing wild found on the edges of the road, ditches, even on the sidelines of the chipped fence wall. The flowers are pretty colorful, there are pink, purple and white. Aside from being an ornamental plant, the tread flower plants can be used as natural medicine. because of the beauty of the flowers, the tread flower is often planted as a garden ornamental plant. Not only is it beautiful, it turns out that the tread flower is also a medicinal plant. This virgin flower contains Rosendin which is an anthocyanidine pigment.
All parts of this plant, both roots, stems, leaves and flowers, are believed to be used for treatment. in tapak dara flowers also found the substance Vincristine which is a chemotherapy drug used to treat several types of cancer. The flower and leaves of the tread are potential as a source of medicine for leukemia and Hodgkin's disease.
