Following a challenge by an excitable friend's inquiry to locate information on a band he had heard on Spotify, it was an opportunity I could not turn down. There was little if not any details on the US Southern Psych Rock one-hit wonders - The Fly Bi Nights 'Found Love'.

A scan across as many sites as possible to locate band members or just anything at all on this band was going to shine some light on who they were and why only the one recording made. A web search, in addition to inside info that the band's song featured on Compilation: Cult Hits Of The 1960s Volume 1, provided the necessary impetus to find these wonderful people and get their side of the recording's story.
One shot and one hit later via Facebook, I was able to locate the lead vocalist, Mr. Greg Presmanes and he provided the limited but needed information on the recording - the following short interview gains some insight into the iconic recording made. It has been advised that the story also features on the liners notes of the compilation Psychedelic States: Georgia in the 60's Volume 1.

GP "I think we recorded that song in about 1967. The other side was come on up, a cover of a young rascals song. We disbanded when everyone went to college."
Myself: "I checked some sources that said the group record for the label Tiffany Records, with a 45 photo showing the Writers as Levinson and Tresmanes (A misprint?). Was this a one single only intended project or were there more songs in the pipeline to be recorded?. I am just looking to build a picture here."
GP " A Typo, No other records were planned"
Myself: "Were all of the members friends/acquaintances or was the band put together by the label? Also, did you expect the record to be such an impactive song at the time?"
GP "We were all friends or friends of friends. We were all in the same music scene. The drummer and rhythm guitar player well are cousins. We had no idea this record would have such an impact! We are still totally surprised. I read somewhere that it was number 71 on the all-time independent label hits. This song has been ripped off by so many people I have lost count. You can still buy it on Amazon. eBay has it on sale from time to time, with an original 45 RPM going for $1500 and up. Since there were only about 300 copies made, it is a collector's item."
Myself: "One more question: Do you remember the name of the producer/engineer of the recording please?"
GP "No, but it was master sound studios in Atlanta."
We can say that this recording made was a shortlived but interesting project, and it is quite reasonable to declare clearly, had they stayed around longer, they would have been up there with the greats of the sub-genre.

Many thanks to the great David Hughes for the heads up to contact the musicians behind the record.
