My Homemade recipe of banana kofta

Hello friends we all know that banana is a very nutritious fruit. Its a nature's enery-rich food wich comes with a safety envelope as a desert it is the cheapest and readily available fruit.

Few Interesting facts about Banana

  • The whole plant is a false stem.
  • Banana are naturally radioactive as it contain high amount of potassium.
  • There are more than 1000 different types of banana plant.
  • banana grow from a root structure that produce an above ground stem ( Which is a pseudo stem).

Now i would love to share my recipe of making banana kofta.

Let me first tell you about kofta

Kofta is a family of meatball or meatloaf dishes found in South Asian. The only difference is kofta can be both veg and non-veg.

So without further delay let's start

Ingredients:

  • Raw Banana
  • Onion
  • Garlic (Grinded up)
  • Red chilli powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Panch phoran ( A mixture of 5 spices with equal ratio of all five that are fenugreek seed, nigella seed, cumin seed, black mustard seed and fennel seed)
  • Turmeric powder
  • Tomatoes (1 to 2)
  • olive oil

Method of preparation

In a sauce pan put around 4-5 raw bananas and add water to it and let it boil for 15 min then take it out in a flat dish as shown in the figure.

Now add Gram flour, chilli powder , turmeric powder, cumin powder and mash it to make round balls and add garlic without cutting it into pieces.

Now once the balls are ready deep fry them in olive oil and keep it aside

Now in a sauce pan take some oil add and let it heat. Once the oil is ready add green chili, Panch phoran, grinded onion and wait till it is a little bit golden

Now add a little bit of water and leave it for 5 minutes after that add the banana balls that you made earlier

Now add coriander leaves for garnishing. Your banana kofta is ready. Serve while it is hot with parathas
