Cooking At Home: Miso Soup
Hello guys. Today I would like to show you how you can make a Japanese-style miso soup. If you would like tasty and very low calory soup to your menu, or would just like to enrich your home cuisine with yet another unique flavour, miso soup is an excellent choice. It is also suitable for those of you who prefer vegetarian cuisine. If you happen to live close to a Japanese grocery store you might also add nori or Japanese dried seaweed to the soup for enhanced flavour.
800ml of water
5 tablespoons of miso paste
150 g of tofu cubes
90 g of chopped green onion
90 g of chopped green chard
Put the water into a pot and turn the stove on at low heat. Mix the miso paste with a little water and whisk until it smoothens. Add this mixture to the water in the pot. Add the tofu and vegetables. Simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat. Your healthy miso soup is now ready to be served. Bon appetit!
