These are great ideas! Things like trail mix, like you listed, are particularly good because they can handle most weather conditions. A friend of mine loves to climb insane mountains that are covered in snow and he brings a ton of trail mix because it is high in calories (nuts are full of fat and berries are full of carbs) and it stays good even in freezing temperatures.
I also have a question for you or maybe @xeldal, I am not sure if you would know but @xeldal's page resteems your posts quite often and I was wondering if there was a auto resteem tool like there is for auto upvotes? Just trying to learn as much as I can about various tools that are built on the Steemit platform! Thanks!
