FRENCH TOAST - Delicious and Nutritious with Maple Syrup
French Toast tastes splendidly
and I would eat it not only for breakfast!
It's hard not to like it....
Specially, when dusted with powdered sugar, drizzled with some maple syrup and sprinkled with some fruit.
Ingredients:
1 loaf of bread (or about 10-12 slices)
1 cup flour
1 tsp sugar brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Start by combining all dry ingredients in a bowl.
Next, whisk together milk, vanilla and eggs
Add the dry mixture to the wet one
Whisk until no lumps in the batter
Dip the bread slices in the batter
Both sides
Drizzle some olive oil on the nonstick skillet and heat over medium-high heat.
Place the dipped bread slices onto the skillet
Brown them on both sides
Dust some powdered sugar,
add some of your favourite fruit
and drizzle some maple syrup
Make it for yourself :)
Enjoy!!!
